I've got 15-16" of vac at 800 RPM hot. Vac drops way down at 600 RPM & idles like a harley. Powerband is good from about 1000-up. Runs cool, etc. I think a few of my valves are too tight. I didn't readjust the valves after I broke the valvetrain down and installed the umbrella seals on the intakes. Also retorqued the head.

Coolant level has not decreased last time I checked it hot. Fuel was old, but ran it down to 1/4" tank and refilled with fresh 93 octane Shell gasoline from a new, big station. Plugs looked nice & tan when I went to change stem seals and did compression test cold. I've got 3.55 gears from a '54 'Glide car, so I need the low end torque to move that 4 door boat. But she'll do about 50 at 2000 rpm.

I'll prolly reset valves to what '52 suggests, adjust timing and idle mixture and post back. Any other things I should look at?
