What's the word on putting a squarebore carb onto a spreadbore manifold. I see more of a problem going the other way, but in the Summit catalog I did see an adaptor that is available and it seemed a bit expensive for what it is. Is it really necessary as long as the base gasket covers the entire opening in the manifold?
I have an Edelbrock Performer manifold which has a dual bolt pattern, so that shouldn't be an issue.
