Chevy Duty has the heat-riser spring: Part # 89-425 (American Class Truck Parts, who sponsors this site, does not seem to have the part - I always check there first). Someone might know the NAPA part number and will post it here.
None of my 235/261 manifolds have the cracks you describe. I do not know if such cracks are unusual.
