Oops! Didn't check for more posts before running a 12 volt wire to the distributor, although it is only showing 11 on my digital voltmeter. Timing mark on balancer isn't anywhere near where it should be at TDC.
Is it possible for a engine to have a bad balancer and or distributor problem, but still start with the touch of the key. I can make this thing idle pretty smooth, and run decent, but has little power in the 40-60 mph range. However I don't have any popping or cracking..just a lot of noise.
