The copy in Patrick's catalog was written about 10 years ago, but you can still find a decent Saginaw for a buck or so. A tranny shop or junkyard will charge what the traffic will bear. They see $$ signs when somebody calls looking for a 30 year old transmission. Don't be in a hurry. Forget Ebay, it's hardly the place to buy a transmission. Visit old junkyards and repair shops, swap meets, ask questions, learn something, make contacts and shop around.
