With a 4.10 and 235/85x16 tires(31" tread height) I could run at 60mph all day without straining my engine, but I like 50 - 55 better. The Acuras can go around me; I remember the parable of the hare and the tortoise. On the road I use 2 - 3 - 4, and save first gear for when I'm crawling up a boat ramp or something, to keep from slipping the clutch. If I wanted to run faster I'd get a transmission with an overdrive.
