The flywheel is piloted on the crank, and most likely held in place by rust. I leave one bolt in a few threads, or use a chain and retain the FW to the block. Then use a section of 2x4 and a fist-maul. put the 2x4 up against the edge of the FW and smack it. Same principle as deadblow hammer.
Flywheel then comes of, if you dont retain it, it lands on your foot, then rolls down the driveway into oncoming traffic.
If you use a prybar, be careful or things may break. a hearty smack vibrates the thing off. prying works if you slowly work from side to side.
