Some have the coil in cap and some have remote coil, but under the cap its just normal HEI stuff other then the 6 pin rotor. Any HEI re-curve kit will work. Start with one lighter spring and go from there. One of the problems I see on our distributor machine is to much travel in the mechanical advance. Dad and I weld the slots shut a bit to limit how much advance comes in, then we set the springs to allow all the advance to be in by X amount of rpm, usually around 2000 on our race engines. We use the vacuum advance for better idle and better fuel mileage. | | |
