What goes on the door check [I think that is what it is called ] where it stops the door from opening to far. On my 1940 all I found was a chunk of rubber and a rubber bushing from what looked like a shock absorber. This obviously was not original, but I did find a split piece of 1 1/2" wood dowell with a hole in it in the bottom of the kick panel area. What is the best thing to use?
