I JUST did my window regulators because I had a special problem. The Australian built 41-46 had basically identical regulators but different window cranks with early plastic/potmetal crank handle which were broken off. Can't find any complete Aussie cranks, so I bought 2 of the $15 regulator repair kits from Classic Parts and replaced the Australian crankhandle points with US ones and used US cranks, problem solved.
My windows easily glide up and down, just like new.
