hello kskt4. just went through this myself. mount the cab, use a bellhousing from a late 60s truck. position it on the cross member for the bell housing. this should give you a pretty good idea of where the engine has to sit front to back. make sure it is far enough forward to remove the right side rocker arm cover.this will also give you the location for whatever front mount you use.
as was mentioned earlier, the steering box will be jammed on the left side. i solved this by relocating the box, and putting a jointed section on the steering coluum. i used 1967 chevy truck headers[they fit real good].i am also using a t5 tranny from a v6 blazer[i know, it will blow up any minute],and a drive shaft from a 87 astrovan.ihope this helps
