Thanks for the reply. There is no way to detach the upper part of the vertical channel. I replaced the wing window rubber yesterday but could not remove the wing window frame completely because there is no way to remove the vertical channel that mounts to the window frame. There are no screws, maybe a rivet but I'm not breaking that off. I'll try your suggestion as maybe I can get to the bottom of the channel to pull out the old channel.
