Bobhas it right. You need to bend the frame to match the door shape. It is also important that you put the "spacers" under the panel. There are two. Both rectangular in shape. They are about a half inch wide, maybe 2 inches long, and about a 1/" thick. One is glued (use 3m adhesive) just above the triangular piece of the remote control arm. The other goes vertically at the latch side of the long hole. These keep the remote control arm from rubbing against the cardboard. BTW, if you spray the back of the cardboard with clear coat or even paint, it'll withstand humidity a lot better.
