Unless you are going to have huge horsepower, I would go with a 700R4. It is a 4 speed with the 4th gear being overdrive. It also has a lower 1st gear than the th350. With the 700, you get the benefit of a low (numerically high) first gear and the benefit of overdrive for highway use.
