Bill - I am with you on this one. I think the volume/tone control is toast. The center shaft snapped and will only work to turn the radio on/off with major monkeying around.
Not good on a bouncy truck.
I need to find a good used one or new. I wonder if the guys that buy these old radios for the carcasses save the AM guts? That would be a good source for us restorers.
