Anyway I'm partly to blame, once told by someone who knew the deal it seemed obvious.
Yeah big 10-4 on the orig. plastic. I'm going to hit with some plstic polish...gently...this evening and see how nice I can make it look and I'll replace the speaker and foam too...that'll sassy it up.
Tell me again why it is a bad idea to just use a 6 to 12 volt converter? I could keep it all as it is and run 'er that way.
Also, who know where the outside antenna is supposed to be? My truck for some reason has no hole in the cowl! I believe it is supposed to be on drivers side by the windshield.
Just a comment KRIKEY I see that orig. radios go for a small fortune on EBAY. Does that mean I have to lock the truck? Oh, now I have to get locks...sheesh.
