| | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | Don't know if any of you have purchased new stake pockets and found them too narrow to fit over the rear sill but mine were (purchased from JC). Rather then scratch the paint during install I built two 5/16" all threads 3-1/2" long with nuts welded on one end. I then ran them in to the welded nut for the tailgate hinge; this enabled the pocket to open up an additional 1/4" so it fit perfectly. I then welded it to the bed side, after it cooled I removed the all thread and it slips right on the sill. | | |
