Does an exploded view or assembly instructions exist for a '40 shorted? I didn't take the bed off and the sides and front piece that was with the truck were unuseable, so I purchased a complete bed from one of this sites sponsers. The kit came with very minimal instructions.
I'm having trouble figuring out where the cross members fit and how they fit to the frame.
Another question I have is the old front panel had bolts still attached to the flange portion at the bottom, but the new kit looks like you don't bolt thru that flange. The first set of bolts are about 3" back from the front panel. What keeps the panel from being push toward the cab?
Just a little confused at this point.
