I finally got it all straightened out and the bed is now finished. I had to mount the bed assembly with the frame bolts, then work in the wood while everything was on the frame. It was a real struggle to get everything lined up properly and bolted in, especially since my '48 has the gas tank under the bed, but it all worked out.
