I am thinking of using a tight bent tube, to come off of the face of the head, and up 90 deg. Then tig weld on a mounting flange, and transistion the flange to the tube for proper flow. I like the side-draft carb idea, do you konw of anyone that has done that that I can contact. I manage a precision metal fab shop, so making the difficult, will be fine with me since we bend tubes, sheetmetal, wire, cnc machining etc. Regarding the crossover tube, should that connectced to the tube, or to the carb mounting plate? Lastly, you refer to re-jetting carbs. How is this done? Is this something that I could do, or would I have to have an expert do this? I am really not familiar with any carb modifications, but I am concerned that this may limit which direction to go in, if it's going to not be feasible.
