I was reading HotRod, the first 12 issues, and I find an article by WAYNE. It talks about the interchangability of parts between the "splash" 216 and 235. He says the parts are pretty much interchangable between the two, except for the 3/16 stroke on the crank. So I get to thinking, what is the difference between the splash and pressure cranks, other than the drilling for pressure? Like, can I use a pressure crank to make a 244 out of my 216, if I do the block mods to get pressure oiling? I know I would have to use a 235 cam, and was planning on using GMC rods, with custom Ross pistons, so would it work, or should I find something else to engineer with Pabst?
