Sam, if your truck has an SM420 transmission (4spd with granny first gear) it will have a plate on the side of the transmission case held on with 6 bolts. It is located on the drivers side of the transmission.

I have picked up several PTOs that bolt onto the side of the transmission, the units I have are made by Chelsea and are used to drive a hydraulic pump via. a short driveline. They could just as easily drive a winch through the proper drivetrain. A short linkage goes to the cab, just press in the clutch, pull on the lever to engage the PTO and ease out the clutch . . . works great!
