I'd be REALLY surprised if a 11/2 ton ORIGINALLY came with a 216. The 235 would have been standard, me thinks, and is what is referred to as the LoadMaster. An even MORE whopping 93 Horsepower, although I think the Rochester carb and some other "refinements" early in the AD series were supposed to up the HP some - not sure when that happened without my lit-tra-ture in front of me.

My guess would be someone swapped in the 216 at some point.

Of course, my boss tells me I'm dumber than a bag of hammers, so take what I say with a grain of salt . . . ;-)
