Basically the 69' 3 speed trans I picked up ain't going to work. SHUX. I'll go ahead and rebuild the original that came with the truck.I do have one question with all the parts on the bench cleaned up,the bearing nut and oil slinger is without any internal threads to screw on to thethe clutch gear. I've been looking at some later model trans, and they don't even have this part at all. There g. m. 3and 4 speeds with only a snap ring on the front bearing just aft of the oil slinger.Is this part really needed? :confused: | | |
