It just took me a week to get lifters for my 250 (same as a small-block). When the parts store told me it would be while, I didn't believe them. They're being rationed.

http://www.camcraftcams.com/Archives/monthlynews0602.htm So 2 of the 3 players are out of it. My machine shop tells me that all the machinery to make flat tappets is old and wearing out and nobody wants to invest in new machinery. This sounds a little odd? Is the machinery that specialized? Ken?
Should we start hording lifters? I don't think they will make roller cams for a 216. Can anyone shed more light on this subject?
