I will take a stab. The 235 will mount under the balancer with two bolts. The 292 will have conventional motor mounts on the lower side, but the right one will be further forward than the left side. The 292's dont have a draft tube on the passenger side like the 235's and the 292's are slightly bigger. My 292 also has the fuel pump in the middle of the block on the pass. side and the 235 is on the front. The 292 also uses the Chevy V8 bolt pattern for the clutch housing. 292's were usually blue in color and I have seen 235's in grey and lite green, but I dont think that those colors are set in stone, because cars used different colors than the trucks, etc. The best way is to pull the block numbers from in front of the starter and check them against the list on the Inliners web site.
