#30126 03/18/2002 4:48 AM | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 36 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 36 | Today I put my 11" clutch flywheel in, and then I put starter in, then I noticed that the bendix gear dosent engage on to the flywheel ring gear very well. It seems like the starter needs to be shimed away from flyweel, if it could. then I looked at the old flyweel, it apeared that the starter was not running on it corectly either. I could tell by the teeth wear patern. I was hopping someone could tell me how many teeth are supose to be on my starter motor bendix, it's all 57 & 58 stuff. But maybey I got the wrong starter motor when I first got the truck on the road.It's in a 41 and all 12 volt.
