My '84 1/2 ton Suburban is locking up the brakes on the left rear wheel. (It was doing this occasionally earlier last summer, then quit, now it's really bad) When it does this I literally can't go forward. But, if I put it in reverse, back up several feet then, pop it into drive without touching the brake it "pops" kinda loud then (usually) lets go. I don't see a broken return springor anything like that.

Ideas?!

Could it be the wheel cyl? The master cyl.? The Proportioning valve? The power booster? How to check?

I had this same problem on my '51 1/2 ton a few years ago and it turned out to be the master cyl. But, of course that has a single well master cyl.
