It is already in a 1967 GMC. But it doen't look like a 250. But I can't seem to find the darn casting numbers. The oil filter is on the drivers side. The side covers on the passenger's side have the bolt on the perimeter of the cover and not in the middle. The left side looks as follows from front of motor to the back.
First the fuel pump, then the vent tube, then the motor mount, then the distributor, then the dip stick, then the starter. I went out and bought the I-6 book recommended in the earlier posts but I just cant find the casting numbers on the block and the casting numbers on the head are not listed in the book. Go figure.
AW the heck with it! I just got an offer to trade for a '64 Chevy P/U with a 283 sbc... we'll see.
