Can anyone tell me where the casting numbers for a 1967 ( I think ...don't know for sure) GMC inline 6 are? It is for sure not a 235 or a 292. I think it is a 250. I can't seem to find the correct numbers. I got some numbers from a stamping pad just behind the distributor (F0522JK). The Head reads 3836848. and the Tranny reads 233952645.
I've checked with inliners.org and stovebolt.com but I don't seem to have the right numbers.
I want to make sure what motor and transmission I am dealing with.
By the way I got the truck with the transmission removed from the motor and no bolts any where. Can anyone please tell where I can buy or what types of bolts I need for the clutch and the ones needed to attach the tranny to the motor.
Could it be a 235???
'see the owner told me it was a 250cid so I went and bought a clutch kit for a 250. Do you know if this would still fit...or if there is any difference in transmissions for a 235 and a 250?
