OK - My '51 (216) chewed up a few (5)teeth from the camshaft gear but still ran with a heavy knocking sound. Got it torn down to discover insert bearings and .040 over size pistons / sleeved cylinders. I had ordered (Jim Carter - STD)rod bearings prior to tear down. Discovered that I needed .010 undersize bearings. Jim Carter did have in stock - ordered from Kanter's and rec'd completely different bearing set for the 216. Lube hole in wrong place (no machined oil groove)and not as wide as replacement set from Carters. Could I have a 216 with (1954)235 connecting rods? Hard to follow up on Previous Owner info. I will leave better records of what I do on this truck. A promise. BW
