#29380 06/01/2002 11:37 PM | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 20 Member | | Member Joined: May 2002 Posts: 20 | Hi Truckernix, all 261 and 235 truck engines had an aluminum cam timing gear when they left the factory. 235 car engines have fiber gears but the couple of GMC's I saw apart used an aluminum timing gear.All of them use a steel crank gear.
