4th gear grind is bad syncro. 3rd poping out probably is too. only issue is both are irritating. probably work that way for a long time. my 57 3spd had no syncros left when I got it [was previously an ambulance] and worked the same for another 30,000mi till I parked it for future resto. it poped out of third on the highway too.
