All of the books I have (1951) state that the torque tube drive train is only on the 3100 series 1/2 ton trucks. I have a '51 3604 Chevy Pick up with a 4 speed and 4.57 ratio full floating rear axle. Other than a '57 235 engine and newer rims the truck is original. I installed a set of 7.50 16 bias ply tires on rims from a 95 chevy 3/4 ton truck. I can cruise at 65, and the 8 ply tires hold 60 psi, I keep 45 psi in the tires and it makes for a fair ride and easy steering.e
