I find with mine on upshifts if I shift about the time it sounds like the engine has slowed to near idle rpm, it shifts without grinding. Doesn't seem to make much difference whether I double clutch or not. Down shifting, I usually double clutch and give the throttle a blip at the time the clutch is out in the neutral position. Still takes a lot of practice.
