as Sidehill sez, Bill - nothin wrong w/ the tranny cept age-ed design - the 46 4spd had no syncros, so ya need to double clutch up and down [or upshift veerrry slow] - takes some learnin to get it just right, but it can be done up or down w/ no grind [majority of the time!] - downshifting takes higher revs in the neutral step, upshifting, no gas]
