The steering box rebuild kit that I did a few years ago had a small, GM booklet on the process. As I recall, the booklet recommended putting some Permatex gasket sealer on the threads before installing. I didn't (what, me follow directions :p ) and mine leaked there. Now that I am doing a frame off, I WILL seal those threads before I reinstall the steering box.
