Well I got it back together enough for a test drive this weekend but have a problem. I'll try and keep this short.
I've got a 52 with a 1961 235. I had the front clip off to clean and paint the frame and the engine, I did have the intake and exhaust manifolds off for painting also. I installed a new fuel pump and new plugs. The old plugs were R43 but I read here to try R45's so that's what I did. My problem is that is pops through the card, a lot. So bad that I can bearly drive it. It ideals fine, when just reving it most of the time its fine but does pop now and then. When under load is when it is really bad. I did not have this problem before I started work on it. What I have done so far is, set the points, helped a little but not much. I did try setting the timing but it was after the football game and a few beers which made me forget to unhook the vac adance first so I will have to try that again. I hope that's what it is and will find out tonight, just looking for more ideas incase the timing is not it. I do have the R43 that I will put back if the timing does not fix it.
Any more ideas would be great.
Thanks and I'm almost ready to cruise.

If it ain't broke I ain't worked on it.
