I think I know the answer to my question but I thought I'd ask anyway. I just rebuilt my Rochester B on my 1950. It runs great but leaks where the top half meets the bowl. From what I can tell in the postings, it is typically a warped housing. Can I put any kind of sealer on the gasket that might help (High Tack Red from Permatex...)?

Any other thoughts? Would it be better to get a Carter? If so, which one and is it a straight swap?
