I am almost done rebuilding a chevy 235 I bought from a guy and I am about to put the flywheel and clutch assembly on. Most of the pressure plates that I have seen for sale are all 11" or 10" with flat splines where the throughout bearing goes, but the one that came with the engine is about 11 1/4" with splines that angle outward. The 11 1/4" is in a lot better shape and so is the flywhel that matches it. I've been told that if I used the 11 1/4" pressure plate I wouldn't beable to adjust the clutch enough to make every thing work because the splines are angled, but I was hoping that one of you guys could tell me which plate to use. Thank you for your help.
