I had these interesting coil overload springs on my 49. Rode rough but sat square. Took out the coils and the rubber cover on one was worn right to the metal coil. The other was okay. However once the coils were out the truck leaned to one side. Local spring shop took the leaf spring apart and re-arced them. Fine now.
