Jerry - I know you are right for the most part, but It hurts to hear you say that
I'm installing an Edelbrock 2X1 w twin Rochesters sometime this winter. Currently my truck runs GREAT w the original Rochester. It has never leaked and the truck will start instantly when warm. When it hasn't been started in a couple of weeks I simply pull the choke, pump it once and you might hear the starter turn once or twice before it starts. In short, it starts faster than any fuel injected car I've ever had. (a long list). Also, if I drive like my wife, I can get up to 20 mpg. I average 16-17. So why am I going to the 2x1? I think I need my head examined.
