Meathead - could you give me a little more detail.

Profitt - I can see from the outside that the fork is whats chattering. It's rattling against the throwout bearing. The retainer spring is in place and seems to be hooked up correctly, though the fork boot at the bellhousing isn't installed. Not sure what I was thinking.

I think I'll just pull the tranny and see what I see. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
