It looks like I'm going to be converting my barn doors to a tail gate and lift gate; for day-to-day stuff, the barn doors are nice, but I run a swap meet 12 times a year, and will be using the truck to pull a race car; the doors frequently stay open, and I can't stand the wind blowing them shut or trying to hyper-extend them anymore, so going with the 'gates.
The donor was a junk yard GMC; I haven't picked the pieces up yet, but the guy who got them for me sent pics, and the license plate recess/light housing has the GMC emblem cast into it.
What does the Chevy tailgate have for the light housing? And does this piece unbolt so I can swap them out? (My truck is a Chevy, and I want to keep it that way)
