I came across a serious problem when I fixed my 48 chev panel. The rear doors where banged up really bad, seriously crunched, so I looked around for a set of good rear doors. Could you believe I found an awsome set close to home and only $150.00.
The time came to fit the new rear doors on. I found out quick that they're no where close to fitting. The body lines in the center of the doors didn't match up. You couldn't even close the doors. Everything was so far out and after lots figuring I found out the body of the panel van was bent over in the back. So off to the body shop I went and put it on the frame straightning rack they hooked on to the back of the body and gave it a pull to the left till the doors closed I didn't expect that problem when fixing it. lol
