The '58 apache I bought last year has a 1973 307 in it. It's a little tired but it has stopped smoking since I've been opening it up on the freeway. Go figure! I've changed the oil, put air and fuel filters on it( the previous owner drove it without them!)and it's time to address the old rusty spark plugs. It has an aftermarket? electronic distributor and I'm not sure if that should change how I gap the plugs. I think I remember an old post indicating they should be gapped wider than the typical .035. Any thoughts? thanks a bunch.
