Good-looking ride!
Mine's been retired for a bunch of years, just taking up space out behind the barn, but it's slowly creeping up the "to do" list. I'll probably do an off-the-frame restoration when I get around to it, and go with mid-70's 3/4 ton running gear including an independent front end. Currently, it's got a 307 engine, 4-speed granny box trans, and a Dana type 60 rear axle with positraction. It was my daily driver back in the late 80's, but it's been parked for about 15 years. It's going to take a major rehab to get it into shape!
Since we're both Middle Tennessee residents, let's get together! I teach auto mechanics at McGavock High School in Donelson, and spend my weekends at my farm close to the Alabama border near I-65. I'm building a shop there, to pursue this hobby and my other one, custom gunsmithing, when I retire from the school system in a couple of years.
