For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 221 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 221 | Kelly (wife) wanted to go to Sams a few nights ago so I suggested we take the 59 Suburban. She didn't want an adventure she said.....just to go to Sams. I assured her things where different now. The old truck was being forged almost daily into a dependable driver. OK So we are driving along on a 2 lane road at night on our way to Sams when I decided to switch the high beams on. Instead of the high beams I got a complete blackout going 40 mph. This was not what I expected and certainly not what Kelly desired. As she firmly gripped anything close I jostled the headlight switch until I finally got the lights back on. This "short" happened a few other times that night. Anybody have a good idea as to the probable source of the problem? My guess is the switch. | | |
