Were the cracked panes the sliding pieces? All mine were cracked from being slid too far forward. I have put a "stop" in place that cannot be easily seen (in fact, it looks "natural") - a piece of black thick-wall tubing pressed into the run channel on the front side. When the glass is pushed forward, it is stopped by the edges of the tube in the run channel(top and bottom).
