In either Chevrolet or GMC versions, for at least the years of 1960 to 1966 (my interest), window versions, with or without rear seats, were called "Suburban"... Tradesman or commercial models, those WITHOUT side windows were called "Carryall"...
My father had a 1965 Chevrolet Suburban, while I have a 1964 Chevrolet Carryall...
Both had fixed rear door glass in either configuration... Suburbans had front bench seats, split, where the passenger side seat folded forward to allow passenger access to the rear seating area, whereas Carryall models had a straight front bench seat... Unless of course it was equipped with individual seats upfront, although I've never seen one factory-equipped that way.
Additionally, I believe, but not sure, that only Suburban models had the option of a "tailgate" instead of barn doors... Carryalls only came with the "barn doors"
3 door "Suburbans" only became available, as an upgraded model, with the introduction of the 1967 restyling. And I believe the CARRYALL moniker was dropped for both Chevrolet and GMC, leaving only a "SUBURBAN" model, in personal and commercial application option packages... I think this was done because both Chevrolet and GMC were about to introduce full-fledged VAN models to the lineup, and to eliminate some excessive redundancy in the overall line-up...
